Shreyas Iyer ನೇತೃತ್ವದ Punjab Kings ತಂಡವು 2026ರ ಟಾಟಾ ಐಪಿಎಲ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಮೊದಲ ಟ್ರೋಫಿ ಗೆಲ್ಲುವ ಗುರಿ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಗಾಯಗಳಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಗಳ ನಡುವೆಯೂ ಟೀಕಾಕಾರರಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರ ನೀಡುವ ದಿಟ್ಟ ನಿರ್ಧಾರದಿಂದ ಅಯ್ಯರ್ ಮುಂದುವರಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಜಿಯೋಸ್ಟಾರ್‌ನ ‘Believe’ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ Irfan Pathan ಜೊತೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅಯ್ಯರ್, “ನಾನು ಮಾಡಲಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಅದು ನನಗೆ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ. ನಾನು ಅದನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪು ಎಂದು ಸಾಬೀತುಪಡಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ದಿಟ್ಟ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪ ಮೂಡುತ್ತದೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಗಾಯದ ನಂತರದ ಹಿನ್ನಡೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, “ನನ್ನ ಬೆನ್ನಿನ ಗಾಯದ ನಂತರ ನಾನು ಹಳೆಯ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ಮರಳಲಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಕೆಲವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಾನು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆ—ಏಕೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ? ಗಾಯದ ನಂತರದ ಮನೋಭಾವವೇ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ತನ್ನ ಆಟದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅಯ್ಯರ್, ಪಂದ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಅಂತಿಮ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೆಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಇಷ್ಟವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. “ನಾನು ನಾಟೌಟ್ ಆಗಿ ಪಂದ್ಯ ಮುಗಿಸಬೇಕು. ಕೊನೆಯವರೆಗೂ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಗೆಲುವಿನ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತದೆ” ಎಂದರು.

ಕಿರುಬಾಲ್ (Short Ball) ವಿರುದ್ಧದ ದುರ್ಬಲತೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಟೀಕೆ ಕೇಳಿಬಂದಾಗ ಅದನ್ನೇ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಅಯ್ಯರ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು. “ಇದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಸವಾಲಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡೆ. ಈಗ ನನ್ನ ಜೋನ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದ ಶಾರ್ಟ್ ಬಾಲ್‌ನ್ನು ಸಿಕ್ಸರ್ ಹೊಡೆಯಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಎಂದರು. ಈ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗೆ Pravin Amre ಮತ್ತು Abhishek Nayar ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಕಾರಣವೆಂದರು.

ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರದ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೆಸರು ಎರಚಿದ ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ National Highways Authority of India ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ನಡೆದ ಅವಮಾನ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಂಧುದುರ್ಗದ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಸೆಷನ್ಸ್ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಈ ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದೆ.

ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯವು ಭಾರತೀಯ ದಂಡ ಸಂಹಿತೆಯ Section 504 IPC ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಣೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ದೋಷಿ ಎಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸಿ, 1 ತಿಂಗಳ ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ₹1 ಲಕ್ಷ ದಂಡ ವಿಧಿಸಿದೆ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿನ ₹50,000ನ್ನು ಸಂತ್ರಸ್ತ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್‌ಗೆ ಪರಿಹಾರವಾಗಿ ನೀಡಲು ಆದೇಶಿಸಿದೆ.

ತೀರ್ಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳು ಕಾನೂನನ್ನು ಕೈಗೆತ್ತಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು ಮತ್ತು ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಘನತೆಗೆ ಧಕ್ಕೆ ತರುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದೆ.

ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ, ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕವಾಗಿ ಅಮಾನತುಗೊಳಿಸಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ರಾಣೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇಲ್ಮನವಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ದೊರೆತಿದ್ದು, ಸದ್ಯ ಬಂಧನದಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಇತರ 29 ಆರೋಪಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯಾಭಾವದಿಂದ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಖುಲಾಸೆಗೊಳಿಸಿದೆ.

ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಹಿನ್ನಲೆ:
2019ರಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂಬೈ-ಗೋವಾ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಯ ಕಂಕಾವ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ರಸ್ತೆ ದುಸ್ಥಿತಿ ತೀವ್ರವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಮಳೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ರಸ್ತೆ ಜಲಾವೃತಗೊಂಡು ಸಂಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡಚಣೆ ಉಂಟಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಆಕ್ರೋಶಗೊಂಡ ರಾಣೆ, ತಮ್ಮ ಬೆಂಬಲಿಗರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಎನ್‌ಎಚ್‌ಎಐ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೆಸರು ಎರಚಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದರು.

ಈ ಘಟನೆ ಇದೀಗ ಕಾನೂನುಬದ್ಧ ತೀರ್ಪಿಗೆ ತಲುಪಿದ್ದು, ರಾಜಕೀಯ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಚರ್ಚೆಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ.

Bengaluru, April 28, 2026: Sahamati, the first cross-sector industry alliance driving the adoption of the Account Aggregator (AA) ecosystem, has announced a landmark funding raise of 50 crore from over 30 leading financial sector entities.

This broad-based institutional participation marks a significant milestone in India’s consent-based data-sharing framework, reinforcing its role as a key pillar of the country’s digital public infrastructure. The funding comes at a crucial stage as the ecosystem transitions from infrastructure readiness to real-world adoption, enabling high-impact use cases across lending, wealth management, insurance, and more.

Key investors in the round include State Bank of India, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, IDFC First Bank, Yes Bank, Bajaj Finserv, Tata Capital, and Zerodha, among others. Account Aggregators such as OneMoney, Finvu, CAMS, and OMS also participated.

Unlike traditional funding rounds, this investment reflects a coordinated industry commitment to building a regulated digital infrastructure layer for consent-based financial data sharing. It signals a shift toward collective ownership of governance, interoperability, and standards across the ecosystem.

Sahamati plans to use the funds to expand ecosystem participation, strengthen technical and policy frameworks, and build institutional capacity to scale operations. The focus remains on delivering tangible outcomes such as faster access to credit, improved financial inclusion, and innovation across sectors.

Speaking on the development, BG Mahesh said, “We are entering a phase where responsible and intelligent use of data will define competitive advantage in financial services. The Account Aggregator framework is not just infrastructure—it enables a new way of designing financial products with consumers at the center and in control of their data.”

He further highlighted that the ecosystem is moving from mere data access to intelligent, real-time decision-making, which could transform credit, risk assessment, and customer engagement models. This shift is expected to benefit consumers with better access, fairer outcomes, and more personalized financial products—especially for underserved individuals and small businesses.
